• Overnight at Arusha hotel

• Early departure to Kilimanjaro National Park

• Trek to Machame campsite

• Hiking time: approximately 6 hours

• Overnight in tents

• Altitude: 3,100 m

• Breakfast at camp

• Hike to Shira Hut

• Trek through rainforest and rocky ridges

• Approximate hiking time: 4 hours

• Overnight at Shira campsite

• Altitude: 3,658 m

• Hike from Shira to Barranco

• Pass Lava Tower and Arrow Glacier junction

• Approximate hiking time: 6 hours

• Overnight at Barranco campsite

• Altitude: 3,860 m

• Trek through Karanga Valley

• Connect to Mweka trail

• Continue to Barafu Hut

• Approximate hiking time: 8 hours

• Dinner and overnight at Barafu campsite

• Altitude: 4,600 m

• Early morning ascent to Stella Point (5,745 m)

• Continue to Uhuru Peak (5,896 m)

• Descend to Mweka Hut

• Approximate descent time: 5 hours

• Dinner and overnight at Mweka campsite

• Descend to Mweka Park Gate

• Hiking time: approximately 4 hours

• Transfer back to Arusha

• Overnight in Arusha

• Breakfast at the hotel

• Departure to Nairobi by shuttle

• Arrival at approximately 1:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.
