Day 1: Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Welcome to Rwanda.
- Arrival: Upon arrival in Kigali, our representative will meet you.
- City Tour: Begin your adventure with a guided city tour, including a moving visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial.
- The Drive: After lunch, enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside to Musanze, located near Volcanoes National Park.
- Overnight: Check in, dinner, and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
The Ultimate Wildlife Encounter.
- Morning: After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing.
- The Trek: Hike through the misty rainforest to locate your assigned gorilla family.
- The Experience: Spend an awe-inspiring hour observing these majestic creatures up close. It is a humbling and unforgettable experience.
- Relaxation: Return to the lodge to relax.
- Overnight: Dinner and overnight stay at the same lodge.
Day 3: Choose Your Adventure
Golden Monkeys or History.
Today, you can choose one of the following morning activities:
- Option A: Golden Monkey Tracking: Enjoy a light trek through the bamboo forests to spot these energetic and photogenic primates.
- Option B: Dian Fossey Tomb Hike: Take a challenging hike to the grave of the renowned primatologist and learn about her legacy in gorilla conservation.
Afternoon:
- Spend the afternoon at leisure, or opt for a cultural visit to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village (optional, at an extra cost).
- Overnight: Dinner and overnight stay at the same lodge.
Day 4: Lake Ruhondo Visit & Return to Kigali
Scenic Views.
- Morning: After breakfast, visit the beautiful Lake Ruhondo or simply relax at your lodge to enjoy the spectacular volcano views.
- Transfer: Begin the drive back to Kigali, arriving in the late afternoon.
- Overnight: Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Kigali.
Day 5: Departure
Farewell to Kigali.
- Morning: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.
- Optional: Depending on your flight time, explore local craft markets or enjoy a coffee tour.
- Transfer: You will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
