Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Karibu (Welcome) to Tanzania.
- Arrival: Upon landing at Kilimanjaro International Airport, proceed through immigration and customs. You will need a valid passport, visa, and any health certificates required.
- Transfer: Once you exit the baggage claim, our airport representative or driver guide will be waiting for you holding a placard with your name. You will be transferred to your hotel in the city of Arusha.
- Relaxation: Check in and enjoy your evening at leisure.
- Accommodation: Villa Maua or equivalent.
Day 2: Drive to Tarangire National Park
The Land of Giants.
- Morning: After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park.
- The Park: Tarangire is known for its massive Baobab trees and large herds of elephants. It is a “little-known gem,” perfect for those who love wilderness and solitude.
- Wildlife: During the dry season (July to November), animals migrate to the Tarangire River, the only water source, creating a spectacular concentration of wildlife. You will also see giant termite mounds and diverse landscapes.
- Evening: Enjoy a game drive before heading to your lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
- Accommodation: Maramboi Tented Lodge or equivalent.
Day 3: Drive to Lake Manyara National Park
Forest and Rift Valley Views.
- Morning: After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara for a full-day game drive.
- The Landscape: Although smaller than other parks, Lake Manyara offers a unique experience. It features dense woodlands, the steep Great Rift Valley escarpment, and stunning mountainsides.
- Wildlife: This park is a great starting point for your adventure. It is famous for its tree-climbing lions and large troops of baboons.
- Evening: As the afternoon ends, you will head to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.
- Accommodation: Acacia Farm Lodge or equivalent.
Day 4: Drive to Serengeti National Park
The Endless Plains.
- Morning: After breakfast, drive to the famous Serengeti National Park.
- The Park: Covering nearly 15,000 sq km, this is a vast wild game park. The nomadic Maasai call it “Siringet,” meaning “endless plains.”
- Wildlife: You will be boggled by the quantity of wildlife here. The Serengeti is home to the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, and Rhino). It is also famous for the annual Great Migration.
- Arrival: Check in to your lodge inside the park, which offers amazing views.
- Accommodation: Nyota Luxury Camp or equivalent.
Day 5: Central Serengeti Game Drive
The Lion King.
- Morning: Wake up to the sounds of Africa. After breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive.
- Wildlife: If you love animals, this is the place to be. Thanks to the Disney film The Lion King, this park is world-famous. Around 3,000 lions live here, and they are relatively easy to spot as they lounge under trees for up to 20 hours a day. You will also see elephants, buffalo, and birds like the Kori bustard.
- Evening: Return to your lodge, located inside the park, for dinner and an overnight stay.
- Accommodation: Nyota Luxury Camp or equivalent.
Day 6: Final Serengeti Drive to Karatu
Farewell to the Plains.
- Morning: After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in the Serengeti, venturing deeper into the park.
- Travel: In the late afternoon, you will leave the park and drive to Karatu (the highlands area near the Ngorongoro Crater). This prepares you for tomorrow’s descent into the crater.
- Overnight: Dinner and relaxation at your lodge in Karatu.
- Accommodation: Ngorongoro Lion’s Paw Camp or similar.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Zanzibar
The Garden of Eden.
- Morning: After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Often called the “8th Wonder of the World,” it is a preserved natural phenomenon.
- Wildlife: The permanent water supports a population of 25,000 large mammals. Look for leopards, black rhinos, hyenas, wallowing zebras, and waterbucks.
- Departure: After ascending from the crater, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport.
- Flight: Take your flight (at 8:00 PM) to Zanzibar. Note: Flight from JRO to Zanzibar is excluded from the package.
- Arrival: Upon arrival in Zanzibar, transfer to your hotel in Stone Town.
- Accommodation: Hotel Verde Zanzibar.
- Meal Plan: Half Board (Breakfast & Dinner).
Day 8: Stone Town City Tour
History and Culture.
- Morning: After breakfast, our guide will take you on a historical tour of the ancient city of Stone Town.
- Highlights: Visit the former slave market site and the bustling Darajani market, where you can see local fish. You will also visit the house of the notorious slave trader, Ahmed bin Tipu Tip, and the Arab Fort, built by Omani Arabs 300 years ago.
- Transfer: After the tour, you will be dropped off at your beach hotel for relaxation.
- Overnight: Dinner and overnight stay at your beachfront hotel.
- Accommodation: Breezes Beach Club & Spa or similar.
Day 9: Beach Leisure
Sun, Sand, and Sea.
- Full Day: After breakfast, the day is yours to relax. You can choose to lounge by the swimming pool or head to the ocean to soak up the sun.
- Activities: This is a perfect day to rejuvenate after your safari. Enjoy the beautiful white sand beaches and warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
- Accommodation: Breezes Beach Club & Spa or similar.
Day 10: Departure
Sad Goodbyes.
- Morning: After breakfast, enjoy your final moments at the beach.
- Transfer: Depending on your flight time, you will be picked up by our representative and transferred to Zanzibar Airport.
