Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Bwindi
Journey to the Forest.
- Arrival: Arrive in Uganda (Entebbe or Kigali).
- The Drive: Transfer directly to your lodge situated near the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
- Relaxation: Receive a briefing on the days ahead, then relax and enjoy your first evening surrounded by the sounds of the forest.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Face-to-Face with Giants.
- Briefing: Start with an early morning briefing at the park headquarters.
- The Trek: Hike into the forest to locate a gorilla family. The time taken depends on their location.
- The Encounter: Spend a magical hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat.
- Cultural Visit (Optional): In the afternoon, you can visit a Batwa pygmy community or enjoy a local cultural encounter.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Savannah and Waterways.
- Travel: Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park.
- Game Drive: Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge.
- Boat Safari: In the evening, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This is famous for having the world’s highest concentration of hippos, along with buffaloes and diverse birdlife.
Day 4: Game Drive & Boat Safari
Exploring the Plains.
- Morning Safari: Embark on a game drive through the park to spot lions, elephants, and antelopes.
- Afternoon: Relax at the lodge or take an optional second boat ride to see more wildlife from the water.
- Overnight: Stay at your lodge near the park.
Day 5: Return to Entebbe & Departure
End of Adventure.
- The Drive: After breakfast, begin the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.
- Departure: You will be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight or onward travel.
