Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu

• Meet and greet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or pick up from hotel at 07:30

• Drive north through the northern frontier district to Samburu Game Reserve

• Afternoon game drive in the reserve

• Dinner and overnight at the camp

Day 2: Samburu Full Day

• Early morning game drive for photography and wildlife viewing

• Mid-morning and afternoon game drives with opportunities to spot lions, leopards, and cheetahs

• Optional full-day picnic in the reserve

• Optional visit to Samburu Village to learn about local culture (extra cost)

• Wildlife includes elephants, buffalo, gerenuk, Grant gazelle, Kirk dik-dik, impala, waterbuck, Grevy zebra, Beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe, and Nile crocodiles at Uaso Nyiro River

• Over 400 species of birds including Somali ostrich, grey-headed kingfisher, sunbird, bee-eater, marabou stork, tawny eagle, bateleur, vulturine guineafowl, lilac-breasted roller, palm nut vulture, red-billed hornbill, secretary bird, Verreaux eagle, superb starling, yellow-billed hornbill, and vulture

Day 3: Samburu – Nairobi

• Early morning sunrise game drive to observe active predators

• Return to camp for breakfast

• Depart Samburu National Reserve for Nairobi

• Drop-off at hotel or airport depending on arrangements
