Day 1: Arrival in Kigali & Genocide Memorial Visit
Welcome to Rwanda.
- Arrival: Upon arrival in Kigali, you will be welcomed by our professional driver-guide.
- City Tour: Begin your journey with a guided tour of the capital, including a powerful visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about the country’s history and resilience.
- The Drive: After lunch, enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside to Musanze (near Volcanoes National Park).
- Overnight: Check in, dinner, and overnight stay at your lodge in Musanze.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
The Highlight of the Safari.
- Briefing: Start the day early with a briefing at the park headquarters.
- The Trek: Led by expert guides, you will hike through the misty rainforest to locate your assigned gorilla family.
- The Encounter: Spend one awe-inspiring hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat. Watch them eat, play, and interact with each other.
- Relaxation: Return to the lodge to relax and reflect on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
- Overnight: Dinner and overnight stay at the same lodge in Musanze.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking & Cultural Visit
Primates and Traditions.
- Golden Monkeys: After breakfast, head back into the park to track the Golden Monkeys. These rare and lively primates live in the bamboo forests and are very photogenic.
- Cultural Experience: In the afternoon, visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village. Here, you will learn about Rwandan traditions, see traditional drumming and dancing, and experience local daily life.
- Overnight: Dinner and overnight stay at the same lodge in Musanze.
Day 4: Return to Kigali & Departure
Farewell to Rwanda.
- The Drive: After breakfast, begin the drive back to Kigali.
- Optional Stops: If time permits, you can stop for souvenir shopping or a local coffee tasting experience.
- Drop Off: You will be transferred to the airport or your hotel in Kigali, marking the end of your safari.
